Well, if the spot is dark I would be concerned as it may indicate root rot, but if it is just a flatter area that looks how you described, but is the same color and firmness as the rest of the plant, it will most likely stay that way. When you water it, it might get fuller, but as it gets dry it will look pinched again. If it was actually pinched, the pinched part and the rest of the end will fall off. I dont know for sure what we are dealing with because I have no pictures to go off of. But if you have an updated picture, I will be able to help you better! Hope this helps!

And? Iโ€™ve had an aloe for at least 10 years now. I operate by benign neglect so I tossed my aloe in an old metal trough that I had. Drilled a few holes for drainage. Now Iโ€™m going to have to separate the babies out. Lol.
