Hi! I recently watched a video about notching, in the video they explained that you want to go deep enough to see the green beneath the bark as well as a bit of sap. They also said to make sure it was between two nodes, and do it when the plant is thriving and no issues are present- notching can weaken the plant and kill it if it’s defending itself at the same time. I don’t think that’s a problem in your case though! That rubber plant looks like it’s thriving! I hope this helps 🀞
It’s okay. (: Sometimes notching doesn’t work. In my experience, the rubber plants are usually pretty mature before the notching will take.
