Help, I’m confused!

What window should I put my fiddle leaf fig in? North, South, East or West? I’ve read it doesn’t like direct sun but have seen others putting it in direct sun. Thanks. #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #FiddleLeafFig #HappyPlants #PlantAddict

Do you know what it’s been in? They mostly hate big changes. I have mine in a west window that has some covering from my patio because that’s what it was in before it came to me. They can handle pretty strong sun but have to acclimate to it gradually.
Mine at home is happy indoors about 5 feet from a south facing window. At work, we have one smack in the middle of a perhaps 100 ft hallway that runs straight through a building, where it only gets indirect east/west light ricocheting off the floors from the glass door exits, and it’s fine. So there’s definitely flexibility. +1 to @MamaLinne’s advice on acclimation.
@MamaLinne this is a west window. He doesn’t get much direct sunlight. Not sure why the picture is sideways. πŸ€”
I have had this fiddle leaf for about 3 months. It is in a west window about 4’ away from window. There is direct sunlight but there’s an overhang off the back of the window. It’s growing like crazy. Hope this helps.
Mine sits directly in front of my sliding glass door. It faces south so he gets some direct sun early in the day but then just bright light. He is growing very well so he must be happy.
@KeyAngelmoss55 I have no south windows I can put him. My cat could reach him. So he is staying in a west window.
