What is on the underside of my leaves?! How do I treat it...

4ft to light, indirect
6” pot with drainage

I don’t know. Looking forward to hear what others have to say! Hope you figure it out 😊
Definitely quarantine away from other plants and treat for pests. Sometimes this can be a sign that pests are starting to affect your leaves (not always). I recommend insecticidal soap and neem oil. Make sure to get the tops and bottoms of all the leaves. Better to be safe rather than sorry and catching pests early can save a lot of misery. Good luck!
Do you think it’s rust fungus? Should I just chop that stem off of the plant?
It’s only on the bottom most leaf
@Kapuac do you think it’s rust fungus?
@ChaseMikeJungle I’m wondering if it’s rust fungus. When you wipe it, does any orange or red dust come off with it?
@elisenavidad no nothing comes off, I also wiped it with a neem oil solution when I originally found it so I might’ve taken the coloring off then?
Well you would’ve noticed it when you initially wiped it even with neem.. have you evaluated the roots for fungus ?
@elisenavidad It’s it moss so I’ll pull it out now to look and send a pic on here
I plan on using root inoculant after I put it back in the container, I did trim off the rotted roots
Hmmm the roots looks okay… but the sphagnum looks dry.. did you happen to soak and wring out the moss before putting the plant in it?
@elisenavidad It’s been in the moss for about 2 weeks or so, I’ve only watered the moss when it’s top 3 inches are dry, usually is damp but I didn’t want to keep the moss moist just incase fungus gnats were trying to lay eggs
And is by my humidifier that runs the humidity up to 60% or so. My Thai con is thriving and typically sits near this aurea. But since I found that, the aurea is in a different room
The moss is damp though, pics might make it look dry but it’s damp but not overly damp
So the moss below is the moss that was around the roots and then the top moss is of dry moss that I had sitting out on the potting table
@elisenavidad you’re a life saver btw! This plant means so much to me (for personal reasons) so I’m trying to keep it alive
Good luck!
Happened to my monstera recently. Trimmed off leaves most heavily affected. Treated with Bonide Captain Jacks Copper Fungicide. Resolved in two weeks!
