Help? Wtf is happening😭

@Kinoko did you take those pictures before or after you watered? This, my friend, is caused by subpar nursery soil that has gone hydrophobic and following the water recommendations.
Nursery soil is usually 💯 peat. It’s fine for nursery use since they have tons of airflow, are usually outside , and have amazing lighting. But it is not good for a lot of plants in home conditions, especially not succulents or cacti, it retains too much water.
When peat dries out it shrinks and compacts and it is very hard to hydrate again. You would have to soak it for hours to get it back to working again. But succulents and cacti need very chunky well aerated soil. At least 50% perlite, pumice, or bark so that it drains well.
You’re going to need to soak this for a while, and then using your faucet or shower sprayer, or a hose outside, spray off as much of the peat as you can. Repot in a CHUNKY succulent soil that you add perlite and other chunky bits to.
Then, do not water when Greg says to water. Use the water notification as a REMINDER to check the soil. If it 💯 dry, then you water. If it’s not dry yet, snooze Greg and check again in a few days. Here’s a pic of my basic succulent soil so you can see what you’re going for.
