Help! New plant

Hello I just repotted and purchased this beautiful baby. It has been on my list forever. I picked it out with this leaf curl, should I be concerned?
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 months ago
@BestMint88 Yes, a curling leaf on an Alocasia Zebrina is a significant sign of distress and indicates an underlying care issue. Common causes include improper watering (both overwatering and underwatering), low humidity, high temperatures, pest infestations, or too much direct light. It requires immediate attention to prevent further damage. Watering Issues: This is the most common cause. Underwatering causes leaves to curl inward and feel crispy. Overwatering causes leaves to curl, turn yellow, droop, and may lead to root rot.
Low Humidity: Alocasia requires high humidity (ideally above 60%). Dry, low-humidity air causes the edges of leaves to curl and turn brown.
Pests: Spider mites, thrips, and aphids can cause damage, leading to curled or discolored leaves.
Environmental Stress: Excessively hot or dry conditions, or direct sunlight (rather than bright, indirect light), can cause leaves to curl up or burn.
How to Address the Issue:
Check Soil Moisture: If the soil is soaking wet, allow it to dry out. If it is completely dry, give the plant a thorough watering.
Increase Humidity: Group plants together, use a humidifier, or place the pot on a pebble tray with water.
Check for Pests: Inspect the leaves (especially underneath) for pests, and treat them immediately with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
Adjust Light/Temp: Ensure the plant is in bright, indirect light and not sitting in direct sun or in front of a drafty vent.
If only older leaves are curling while new ones look healthy, it may just be natural aging. However, if multiple leaves are affected, immediate intervention is necessary.
Why Are My Zebra Elephant Ear Leaves Curling? - Overwatering and underwatering can both lead to the dreaded curling leaves in Zebra Elephant Ear plants. Overwatering often presents as swollen, discolored leaves.
