What happened to this #Pinguicula
Good morning aaaaaaand wtf. 😝 I was going to pull some babies off of this ping and it fell apart. I have well over fifteen separate plants! This #ping had flowered like crazy about six months ago and now I see… maybe it started dividing at that point? Everyone has little roots and I’ll split them up to see what happens. But literally it was like the whole plant popped off! What the hell?!! #CarnivorousPlants #CarnivorousClub #carnies
3ft to light, indirect
2” pot with drainage

@RealSimpleMama LMAO Sarah not the Pingnado 2025 These carnivorous divas really said We’re breaking up. All 15 of us. Today…What probably happened? Yup post flower divide and conquer mode! Pings sometimes pull the sneakiest slow mo propagation ever, then one day they just… poof. Exploded Tupperware energy Honestly though, if they’ve all got roots, you just hit the propagation jackpot. Pot those babies up like the accidental plant mama legend you are Can’t wait to see your army of butterworts rise.
#RealSimpleMama tagging myself so I can find this later!
Hoooly crap. That was stressful. Soaked up some carnivorous (no nutrients) plant mix - mostly perlite and sphagnum moss - in distilled water and then started potting. From one… nine babies! And most are multiples as you can see. Now soaking in more distilled water close to a grow light. Will leave them alone but not let them dry out for a bit and see how they do!
They really have no roots so they probably do just fall apart like that. But it shouldnt be an issue. When i order my pings they shipp bareroot, and yoyrs have better roots than those do! Also sometimes when i irder i get babies on a mother. And they just fall off! I have a few of the babies growing now.
@RealSimpleMama i think youll have a big ol tray of em really soon🙌
