It looks like root rot. Does the pot have drainage?
If not that is what caused it.
I will give you the treatment if you want to save it. But I also want to be honest. It has moved up the stems so the bacteria is already in the stems. Chances are it will do no good.
You would be better off cutting off the green stems below a node (that's the area leaves come out). Put those cutting in water for them to root and start again. Keep the node covered in water.

@SuperbRaspfern hi thanks for your suggestion . The pot has good drainage and roots doesnt smell like rot. Iβve checked it again and I see the blackening from tip inwards I can see some new shoots near the crown. Iβm using all purpose fungicid spray to prevent the rot from spreading. Fingers crossed
