Option to archive dead plants
Hey everyone!
I’ve been using Greg for a few years now and I love how we can basically keep a diary of all our plants’ journeys over time :)
I never delete plants that I’ve given away or who have not made it over the years because they were part of my plant journey too. Does anyone else wish we had an option to archive those plants to keep their journey?

@Persephone Just a little hack. If you continue to ignore the plant when the app reminds you to water it will eventually stop questioning you about it. Also, if you put RIP in front of the name of the plant, all unalived plants will be in the same section in your Oasis. ☺️

@princesspitstop oooh thank you! I generally turn off notifications but haven’t done RIP In front to organize - game changer! I do wish that it would be added in as a feature though so we wouldn’t have to do workarounds like this 😅

@Persephone Considering there are still bugs like our pictures being right side up it might be a while before we get anything like that 😂
@Persephone I also organize by putting the type of plant at the beginning of the name so that all of my plants like Pothos or Hoya, etc. will be grouped together.
@Persephone @princesspitstop I put the room each plant is in in the title to make it easier on watering day, too. With 130 plants and about 30 reminders each day I just look for all of the “SR” sunroom titled ones while I’m in there, or “LR” living room titled ones, etc!
@princesspitstop I was driving myself nuts sprinting from room to room, and I can’t remember who told me to do that! HOWEVER, I didn’t realize you could filter your oasis by name so THANK YOU!
@princesspitstop great idea. I don’t know how you all use the plant watering tool. I would do nothing but run back-and-forth in my house, trying to find the Plant that it told me to water.
@Just1More It helps when you live in a small apartment and you only have 2 choices. Inside or patio. Hahaha
This would be a great #TheWateringHole subject... We all give some ideas what we do, just like this but get it out so more people can read and participate.. I don't havevthat many people who know me.. So me starting it would go no where... Just a thought! 🦋🪴🌵🏜🐞
@princesspitstop I think I would struggle even in a two bedroom apartment . Itwould bother me trying to hunt them all down in my jungle.
@princesspitstop literally same exact situation rn, I had to quarantine new plants in the kitchen and my patio is covered so that’s barely an option too 😭
@princesspitstop personally I don’t keep plants I no longer have in the app because it makes it harder to manage the ones I do have in it, but to add to your suggestions in the watering notifications each plant row supports left/right swipe… I forget which side is which, but swiping it toward one direction will mark it as watered and swiping it toward the other direction will ‘snooze’ the watering notifications. So a person looking to get it to change its watering recommendations without it cluttering their notifications could just snooze it.
