New plant, just need some pointers!

Hello! I just joined Greg hoping to gain new knowledge on some of my newer plants. One plant that I'd love to gain more knowledge on is this beautiful Geo. If anyone can give me some helpful tips on caring for her I'd be so appreciative. #Geogenanthusciliatus

Welcome to Greg Michelle! That plant is gorgeous. 😍. I’m putting this plant on my wish list. It requres low light. So the best location is a a North facing window ( or 5 ft away from a East window or 10 feet away from a South or West window).
Stick your finger 2-3 inches in the soil to test for dampness. If it feels dry then it needs to be watered. I use filtered, distilled or Spring water to water ALL my plants, because many plants are sensitive to the chemicals in tap water.
This plant requires a high humidity level, so frequent misting or use a humidifier. This plant leaves will curl and become limp, when it’s too dry and if you see dry brown patches along the edges of the leaves, that means it’s not getting enough humidity. I hope your beautiful plant lives long and prosper

@neomom This beautiful plant is a rare find. It was only available to serious collectors until recently. It won β€œ The Best New Foliage Award” at the 2022 Tropical Plant International Expo. Wow! Geogenanthus Ciliatus is a NEW plant genus. You have a treasure. Thanks for introducing us to this beautiful plant.
@Ada3, thank you! I'm so happy that I found her. As soon as I saw her I fell in love.
I'm still not sure how I feel about this plant. I'd be careful with the light, it might be low light, but I think it needs more than "low light". You cannot forget to water it. It's a very delicate plant.

How's your plant doing now?
