Looks like rocks surrounding the plant
Can someone tell me how to get rid of these rock looking things. A piece of the plant died in between them. They are all around the stems and the roots. #questions #GregGang #ZzPlant

Agree with @AwesomePlants and @stryker49 : These are rhizomes. No need to remove those. The loss of your stems between them is a normal process. Your plant is likely to be recovering from a dry season and it is regrowing when you see them. This is a great opportunity to make a journal regarding its behavior and remind yourself next year that your plant just exited a dry season therefore it may need a little extra care to help it multiply and stay healthy.
