Repotting

Hello,

I bought this plant like 1 month ago, it’s still in it’s original soil. What type of pot and what size and soil is best for this plant ? #GoldfishPlant #Nematanthusgregarius #NewGrowth
2ft to light, direct
5” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 months ago
@ExultantBaybean ohh How cool! I've got a Goldfish plant on my wishlist. The flowers are so cute πŸ₯° I would plant it in some succulent soil mixed with some perlite. As far as pot size it is suggested to not go up in size 1" to 2" larger than the root ball of the plant. So if the current pot is a 5" pot put it in a 6" to 7" pot. They say this because if you go too big it takes longer for the roots to use all of the water and for the soil to dry out. Roots need oxygen to breathe and if they are sitting in wet soil they're basically drowning which causes root rot. So stick to a pot not much bigger than the one it's in now. πŸ’šπŸƒ
