My avocado seems to be really struggling right now.#avoca...
It looked much healthier a month ago or two even. I'm not sure if it's just dying and there's nothing for me to do and I should try from scratch. The black roots on the bottom, are they alive or dead? Should I cut them away? The top, it seems like it's also dying away and I'm not sure what to do. It had some fungus that I tried cleaning away and scraping away and letting it soak for a tiny bit in soap water. Any advice would be appreciated 🙏

@RightlySoybean How long have you had it in water? That could be some of the issue, but I'm not sure exactly. It could have disease, but I don't know much about that...
And are you saying you soaked the whole plant in soap water?

@luvmygreenhouse It's been in water for at least four months now. I soaked the root system and pit in soap water, everything that had some fungus.
@RightlySoybean I guess I'm not sure what to say. Maybe I'd suggest planting it? Not sure if that will help any...
