Overwatering or underwatering?

Hello, I got this Nertera 2 days ago and it already looked like what it looks like in the picture, clearly it's been dying out and am trying to figure out why. Some sources says it's being overwatered, some the opposite. I just got this plant as a complete beginner so am not sure what to do to not make it worse. I'll definitely cut the dead parts of the plant. Any comment and help would be appreciated #help #nertera #makole #begginer #planttherapy #ovetwatering underwatering">#underwatering #problem
2โ€ pot without drainage

@LeadMosaicaloe I think it may be overwatered. If this pot does not have drainage it is easy to do. May I suggest a water meter to help know when to water before giving it too much water
@LeadMosaicaloe hello and welcome to Greg, Ellie.

If your Coral Moss plant is drying out, it could be due to a few reasons.

Firstly, it might not be getting enough water. These plants prefer moist soil, so try watering it more frequently. However, be careful not to overwater as this can lead to root rot.

Secondly, it could be due to low humidity. If the air around the plant is too dry, it can cause the plant to dry out. Try misting the plant with water or placing a tray of water near it to increase humidity.

Lastly, it could be due to too much direct sunlight. While these plants need light, too much direct sunlight can cause them to dry out. Try moving it to a location with indirect sunlight.
I would check for fungus gnats i had that issue with my non drainage plants
