When will my little sundew have… dew?

Question

Hi! I got On Nom Nom a few weeks ago to help with the never ending #fungusgnats issue. He’s in a mini big with distilled water (he was dry when I received him but that was three weeks ago). #Sundew 
I don’t know how long it takes to grow their little red dew drops. Any help? @PoisonIvys #CarnivorousPlants #CarnivorousClub

They need humidity.  Leave it in a tray of distilled water and that should help. Which you have already done it appears.  So all you have to do is wait usually and it won’t take too long.

I haven’t had sundews, but as I understand it, they’re bog plants like my pings. I have had the best success with them with a lot higher water level in the tray they sit it. My ping is pretty much sitting in water up to the top of the soil, and that has kept him happy and sticky. You might check to see if sundews like that amount of water, too.

Sundews and maybe a ping are wishlist plants.
I want to get one or two but read they don't ship well. Any advice where I can purchase these online? I can't get to a nursery, no car 😰
