Why is my app having me water it every 4 days?

On the plants details it says this should be watered every 2 weeks, but i’ve been getting notifications to water it every 4 days? I’m confused can anyone help?! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #NewPlantMom #
3” pot without drainage
Last watered 3 days ago
Believe is based on your location and the conditions you’re entered for your plant: pot size, soil type, indoor/outdoor, etc. I’d double check the details to ensure they’re accurate. If you don’t think that watering is needed, try snoozing and the app should learn from that as well. But be sure to double check all the details for your plant!
@debbiecakes One more thing you may want to consider, this app operates as an AI and we all know that artificial intelligence is not infallible. Therefore it is always a better idea to check the moisture level of the soil, either by sticking your finger in the soil or by sticking a bamboo skewer in the soil if soil bits are attached to your finger or the skewer the soil is still too wet and you can pause/snooze the plant. The type of pot the plant is in also influences how fast the soil dries out. Porous material like Terracotta lets the soil breathe, and dry out relatively quickly. And in a non porous plastic pot on the other hand it will take much longer to dry out. Specially in a larger pot. Your environment also has an influence. I noticed for instance, since my AC is operating more often in the summer, my plants, or rather the soil they are in dry out much faster and need more water as well.
This doesn’t answer your question but does the plant pot have drainage? I just noticed it says no drainage in the plant setting. It def needs that
@user141fc969 i just changed it bc i realize there is drainage holes! there’s a nursery planter inside this pot i have it in
@debbiecakes as long as it’s not sitting in water that’s fine. I always check my decorative pots to make sure water isn’t pooling
