Has anyone cross pollinated hibiscus?
I would like to try cross pollinating my two hibiscus. Itβs tricky with the one, as its flowers only last for one day. πΊ
If any of you have done this successfully, I would love to know what interesting results you ended up with. π

I've only done this successfully with Venus Fly traps, but the process is the same with these flowers. You could take a small paintbrush or makeup brush to collect some of the pollen from the stamen of the first flower of your choice and rub it on the stigma of the other flower constantly going back and forth between the two. Or you could bring both flowers closer and slightly rub the two stamens together. The whole point is that you want pollen to touch that top focal point of the flower because that is the female portion (the carpel).
@PoisedAlbo, thank you!
I wish they lasted longer!

@Seedstarter, thank you! I have tried this, in the past as well.
