Hi Deborah, this can be a tricky plant to grow. I would start off with a repot into a soil mix with lots of drainage. You can mix your own - just google aroid mixes as this baby likes a similar rich, well draining mix. You can buy these already made or make your own. Usually just mixing compost or potting soil with perlite and coco chips or another chunky substrate. It gives the roots aeration! Over winter the growth on your baby will slow down but it still wants to be in a warm room - around 70 farenheit. Use your finger to check whether the soil is dry/still moist rather than relying entirely on Greg. The app is useful but you really need to be checking on your plant yourself. If you struggle with watering I’ve recently come across Sustee water meters which you can buy on Amazon. They need the inner core replaced every 9 -12 months but the idea is to keep them in your plant pot and water when they indicate the soil has dried out. I got some for my mum for her pothos and peace lily and she says they’re a game changer to help her understand when her plants need water. Let me know if you have any questions and the very best of luck! 🌿🌿
@SageTreeheather That was the recommended size from the company who shipped it. I already lost 2 of them and don’t want to lose my last 2
@WelsomeRhodotus Thanks!! The soil said it had coconut material and perlite. I have no issues with my many orchids. So this is making me crazy!!
@DebOthmer probably wouldn’t hurt to amend it with some chunky stuff like coco chips. It could just be the photo but it kinda looks sandy and maybe the plant isn’t a huge fan (could be drying out too fast/ getting cloggy)
