Crystals?

Today, I noticed that some of my Ring of Fire Philodendron leaves have these weird, slightly sticky crystal things on the bottom. The top of the leaves with them have spots as well. Google says they could be nectar or they could be pests. What are y'all's thoughts? He's been super happy, and I want to keep him that way. #plantsmakepeoplehappy #greggershelpinggreggers #philodendron pests">#pests #help

Theyre necetaries and its a natural@process for some types of mature philos. The sticky stuff is a sap that attracts beneficial bugs.
These spots make me think pests, be cause that's what mine looked like when it had spider mites.
@UltraKoreanfir, spider mites wouldn't surprise me because other plants have had them. (They are the glitter of pests, once they are in your house, they are there forever.) However, there isn't webbing on it anywhere that I have seen.
The spots are just normal sude effect of the sap secretion
@TheConservator it is more prevalent on the more mature leaves. What you said is what I was reading online, but I trust people here more. Thank you. 😊
@ForestDweller to borrow from Demetri Martin, glitter is the herpes of craft supplies. Do by extension, spider mites are the herpes of plants. (I sympathize, I can’t keep tomatoes alive on my balcony because of spider mites.)
My golden croc gets em too fyi.
