Is this a bug?
My ruby recently started closing off its leaves and I noticed a tiny white speck on one if the leaves. Is this a bug? It looks like a bug but what kind of?
Not sure if the rest of the white specks are bugs but posting the photo just in case.

Kind of hard to tell, but anything white and or fluffy (cotton-like) would be mealy bugs. I would take a q-tip and dip in 70% isopropyl alcohol and wipe everything you see. If it turns orange- it’s a mealy bug for sure. Be sure to check your other plants as well and isolate.
