Did I water it too much?
I watered it right after I potted it and it got the brown lines like a day or so afterwards. I had probably watered it a day or so before when it was still just in a little plug of dirt. Not sure what happened #PlantAddict #GoldenZebraFern #brownspots #helpneeded
4” pot with drainage

It’s possible that overwatering could be the cause of the brown lines. When plants are repotted, they can be sensitive to changes, and adding too much water too soon might lead to root stress or rot, especially if the pot doesn’t have good drainage. Ferns do like moist soil, but they also need good air circulation around their roots to prevent root rot.
If the pot doesn’t have drainage holes, this could be part of the problem. Make sure excess water can drain freely, and avoid watering again until the top inch of soil feels dry. Moving forward, try to maintain a balance where the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. If the brown spots continue to spread, it might be a sign that some root damage has occurred, and the plant will need time to recover.
