Noticed all these red marks, what could this be? 🀧

I repotted this succulent maybe two years ago, it’s in a mixture of cactus soil and perlite and I water every 2 weeks in the warmer months/once a month during winter. It lives in a SW facing window, I’ve had this plant for years and I haven’t seen this before :-( #Sedum #SucculentSquad #helpneeded

I agree with @PlantTherapy101, this is definitely NOT sun stress. If it was, your leaves would be flushed with reddish orange, not all green. The reddish coloring on the stems is just natural pigment changes that can happen as a plant matures. An increase in direct light can certainly play a role, but so can nutrient fluctuations, changing water sources, or just plain old plant genetics πŸ€“

Overall, your plant looks healthy and happy 😊
I don’t know the answer but mine has it too.
@PlantTherapy101 so strange! Hopefully someone can let us know what it is. I got so scared that it was pests 🫣
@charlenebean I was suspecting sun damage or possibly fungus bc I’m pretty sure I’ve been battling fungus. But since yours have it and are so green I think we can rule out sun damage.
Some succulents develop different colors when exposed to very strong and bright light; it's one of the things people like about them. As long as the stems or leaves aren't turning yellow or rotting and the leaves aren't dropping in large amounts, your plant is most likely very healthy.
@Seedstarter yes the sun stress! I’ve never seen it happen on the stems before
@charlenebean Yeah, some of the lengthy trailing ones will do it, my jellybean plant, for example, and as it gets older, the stem will start to become woody to support the plant better
