Pothos help please
I bought this pothos on clearance. I know it might not make it, but I hope it does. I just repotted it because so much of it already died and it was in too big of a pot. Both plants had a good root or two. Any help is appreciated. #PothosPack #PothosWater #Pothos #PothosNJoy #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #ClearanceSectionRescueBabies #HappyPlants #PlantAddict

Here is a breakdown of how to keep your Pothos N'Joy thriving:
1. Light: The Secret to Bright Variegated Leaves
Ideal: Bright, indirect sunlight. Place it near an east-facing window or a few feet back from a bright south/west window.
The "Why": The white parts of the leaves cannot absorb sunlight. If it gets too little light, the plant will produce more green to survive, causing it to lose its beautiful variegation.
Watch out for: Direct afternoon sun, which will quickly scorch and crisp the white edges.
2. Water: The "Look and Feel" Method
When to water: Allow the top 2 to 3 inches of soil to dry out completely before watering again. If the leaves look a little limp or start to droop slightly, thatβs your plant telling you it's thirsty.
Drainage is crucial: Always use a pot with excellent drainage holes. Like all pothos, 'N'Joy' is highly susceptible to root rot if left sitting in soggy soil.
Tip: When you do water, water thoroughly until it runs out of the bottom of the pot, then empty the drainage tray.
3. Soil & Structural Support
The Blend: Use a chunky, well-aerated potting mix. A standard indoor potting soil amended with plenty of perlite and orchid bark works beautifully to ensure oxygen reaches the roots.
Nutrients: They aren't heavy feeders, but a dose of a balanced indoor plant fertilizer (or a top-dressing of worm castings) during the active spring and summer growing season will keep it robust. You can also use a silica supplement to help strengthen the cell walls, which can prevent the white variegation from browning prematurely.
Growth Style: 'N'Joy' has smaller leaves and a denser, more compact growth habit than Golden or Marble Queen pothos. It looks lovely cascading over the side of a hanging basket, but if you train it up a moss pole or trellis, the leaves will naturally grow larger over time.
4. Temperature & Humidity
Temperature: It prefers standard home temperatures between 65Β°F and 85Β°F. Keep it away from cold AC drafts, open windows in winter, or heating vents.
Humidity: It manages just fine in average household humidity, but it will absolutely explode with growth if given higher humidity (around 50-60%).
Quick Troubleshooting
Browning white patches: This is usually due to either a sudden drop in humidity, inconsistent watering (letting it get bone-dry for too long and then flooding it), or minor sun scorch.
Reverting to solid green: The plant needs more light. Move it closer to a bright window or under a quality grow light to encourage the white patches to return on new growth.
