Care for Bunny Ears Cactus

I recently got a Bunny ears cactus from The Home Depot and Iโ€™m wondering how to care for it since I dont know when it was last watered and fertilized and what kind I should get as I am new to plant care.
Details: 0.5 to 0.6 ft from my window indoors (southwest).
Plastic pot (thinking of getting a terracotta porous pot).
soil is either perlite, succulent or regular and it is dry with roots coming from the bottom of pot. Sits below a light source that I turn on and off at night (do I leave it on at night?). Any helpful answers would be appreciated. #BunnyEarsCactus #SucculentLove #PlantAddict #beginner
0ft to light, direct
4โ€ pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
if you scroll down on your plant usually greg has some suggestions as well with what kind of pot, and how much light!
Edgar, that's quite a handsome bunny ear. This is gauche, but do you mind telling me how much the Depot priced it at? What size pot is it? I may have to check out Home Depot. Thanks.
Yours looks quite ready to graduate to a bigger and deeper terracotta pot ... and soon.
@ThePorchLady Thanks a lot, mine costed about $4.99 and the pot is 2.5 inches in diameter.
Mine is flourishing in an east window sill with direct morning sun. I water 1/8c in a 4 inch pot every 10 days. I prefer to under water this one to prevent root rot. Good luck with yours. Welcome to grep.
So cute!! I would definitely repot asap but just a size bigger! My girl was that size just a few years ago ๐Ÿค— They are so fun to watch grow
@ThePorchLady I've gotten a bunch of bebes from The Home Depot--I'd guess the one pictured might go for $4-7, depending on location & season & how long that shipment of pokes has been in that store.

My local one had a gorgeous, 8"-10" golden barrel (the plant, not the pot) for $35-45 (exact price can't recall) and since it's payday, I need to run an errand. Excuse me....
