Is my fern big enough to propagate yet?
Hi all! I have a closed terrarium and an erect sword fern inside. He’s getting a little big and I’m wondering if he’s big enough to prop by separation yet? #ErectSwordFern #Terrarium #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #Propagation

@Stone Hello April!! So, I guess the question is, do you see fiddleheads at the base of the fern? The swirled new growth? I would think that when you see this, it would be ready to divide to know it’s mature enough and will survive the separation. That’s just me though. I didn’t separate my fern until I saw these and it sailed though separating it without an issue. But maybe other people have more experience?
