What’s up with my cuetlaxochitl (poinsettia)?
I snagged this freebie after the holidays, gave her a good chop, and soon after she started popping out new leaves. While watering a neighbor I noticed the base of her stems were wrinkling and turning brown, and some of the new growth at the base had dried up and died. What’s happening? She’s been doing so good so far!

That’s normal to grow more leaves but if it turns mushy and or black then you’re overwatering it and it’s rotting
