Yikes root rot!

#Ficus heyyy. Been at this all morning. Think it’s gonna make it? Most rotted roots have been removed but I’ve man handled it pretty damn good. Soaking in water and peroxide then going in a way smaller pot than before….
3ft to light, indirect
8” pot with drainage

@TheMightyOddish It looks like it's got a better chance of survival now than it did! Good job πŸ‘ I've found that most of my plants don't need as big of a pot than I thought they did. Actually they did much better in a smaller one. The soil dries out quicker allowing the roots the oxygen that they need to breathe. They also aren't focused on making roots to fill the pot and are able to use that energy on making new foliage instead. Just make sure you allow the top couple of inches of soil to dry out before you water it and it will reward you with more leaves and growth. πŸ₯°
Yeah it was a Costco plant and wow so much soil!! It was all molded top and bottom so I got most of the rotted roots- I think!
I gifted the little one and not sure how the big one will do
I think I used another too big pot lol. It’s looking droopy and sad
