Is this a good decision?

#ChaoticPlainsUpdates
I’m getting a new pot for Pyrite the pot is going to be terracotta because he struggles with the soil being wet for too long. Will that fox the issue? I don’t want him to rot. I’ve been sparing with watering so he’s been fine, but He gets squishy every now and then and it takes him a while to recover. Is this the right decision? #CactusClique #Cactus #Cacti #SucculentSquad #Succulents #Succulent

Yes! A terracotta pot should definitely help with that issue. πŸ₯° 100% on board! You can also add some extra grit to the soil for extra drainage if you’d like. 😁
@ChaosPlains I would add some perlite to the soil also because then it would drain better therefore dry out faster…I always put extra perlite in my soil for cacti….
Yes, terracotta pot would be the way to go as it will help with the moisture problem. Add perlite to loosen the soil. Put your cactus on a sunny windowsill and cut back on water. πŸ’š. Hope he improves.
