@DestinedOricad yes, once leaves turn yellow like that they won’t come back. It’s also possible for some plants’ leaves to do that to make room for new ones. I highly suggest bottom watering calatheas as to avoid getting water on their leaves.
Might be a nutrition-issue? How is your fertilizing routine?
How is the humidity where the plant is standing? Calatheas require high humidity in the air.
Also could be too much or too little water. Or just wrong water (hard or alkaline?).
How is the soil, and have you repotted him recently and checked the roots?
