How do I make this one happier??

0ft to light, direct
11โ€ pot with drainage

To make your Canna Lily 'Cleopatra' happier indoors, the most critical changes involve its drainage and light exposure. While the app in the image lists "indirect light" and "no drainage," these are actually two of the biggest hurdles for this specific plant.
Essential Adjustments for Indoor Care
Switch to a Pot with Drainage:
Canna lilies require consistently moist soil, but they will die if left in standing water. A pot without drainage traps water at the bottom, leading to root rot, which typically manifests as yellowing leaves, wilting, or mushy roots.
Increase the Light:
While the app suggests 0.5 ft to indirect light, Canna lilies are "sun worshippers" that generally require 6โ€“8 hours of direct sunlight daily to bloom and maintain vibrant leaf color. Indoors, place it in your brightest south-facing window. If it doesn't get enough light, it may become "leggy," produce fewer flowers, and its characteristic red/purple leaf streaks may fade.
Maintain Moisture (Not Sogginess):
Keep the soil evenly moist like a wrung-out sponge. Check the soil moisture by sticking your finger in; water when the top inch feels dry. Indoor plants in air-conditioned environments may also benefit from increased humidity via a humidifier or a pebble tray.
Heavy Feeding:
Cannas are "heavy feeders". During the peak growing season (spring through fall), use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 2โ€“4 weeks to support its fast growth and large blooms.
Thank you!!
