Dropping leaves/ yellowing
My sedum treleasei has been dropping leaves (not just bottom) since Iβve gotten it basically, they will turn yellow, but they almost look shrunken or shrively, instead of mushy and translucent ? Iβve watered only when soil is dry or when needed. I have them under grow lights for most of the day. But it seems to just keep dropping them, from random places like the bottom then the top, only two of the three plants in the pot, have been doing this, (itβs three separate plants) but I donβt know what would be causing it. I thought at first it was just adjusting to the new pot, but itβs been a month and itβs still doing it. Any ideas ? #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #CactusClique #GreggersSupportingGreggers #sedumtreleasei
4β pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
I wish I had an answer to this question. I have had the same issue. Bubbles was so cute when I got him. He is now down to one plant with 5 leaves from 3 plants. I have not watered him in 4 months. I tried giving only one drop literally, and 2 days later, a yellow leaf. If you ever find out what the deal is please share. Good luck.
@Stall54Jo is yours also a treleasi ?
@TidyTigerpear maybe nutrient deficiency???
@Lifeis2short I didnβt think about that ! Good idea
@theplantymammy the grow lights are this brand I donβt know the name but I have a box, got them from Home Depot also I usually only water when I thought it needed it , every two weeks or so, I recently watered a couple days ago because I thought maybe thatβs what was causing the leaf drop, I didnβt think about a fungal problems. Im going to repot in some clean soil also.
@SvelteKingfern I havenβt been home this weekend so Iβm on the way home now, so I will update you, later today! π
thanks for checking !
@SvelteKingfern she only dropped one more leaf, but Iβm gonna try repotting and dousing with cinnamon and using a more pourous soil and we will see what happens π₯²π
1) This thing affects only 2 plants, not all of them. This suggests that you're doing everything right.
2) This thing affects leaves at random places, so in all probability it's not nutrient deficiency.
For these reasons it looks to me that it's some kind of ongoing infection. Whether it's fungus, virus or bacteria (plants have virus and bacterial infections too, you know) I can't tell.

@SvelteKingfern yeah I was thinking the same thing :/ so I decided to repot with clean materials pots etc, and did the cinnamon thing. Trimmed the roots back, I havenβt watered them cause I just donβt wanna piss them off anymore. So they are in the rehab window now. I repotted them separately I still have to do one more.
