Pot only holds in center

So I have a 23/24 cm tally which is what I needed for my plant but it doesn’t nly@has holds@in the bottom center the bottom outer is probably 3 cm deeper which makes me worry there will be 3 cm of growth steerst the bottom, I do volcanic rock for a bottom soil for more than 3 cm, then have regular cacti soil above that till top than I’ll probably use like a shiny smooth white rock for top solid, is this pot ok for a water hearing cactus or do I need to try to use a hammer and nail to make some holes in the outer portion as well? I’ve never potted something this big #SucculentSquad #CactusClique @vvvelo
@ThoroughRedflax what is your pot made out of? You might be able to drill extra drainage holes, because you’re right, if it has a deeper lip or perimeter, water will collect there and can get water logged. If you don’t know how or feel uncomfortable drilling it yourself and have a nursery nearby you, they often offer pot drilling services for a nominal fee, if not free!
@DreamMachine I am in Thailand so my ability to communicate anything to anyone is zero sadly, also I don’t have a drill, my pot is made of plastic so I think nail would suffice?
