Cactusfruit! ๐Ÿฅญ๐ŸŒธ

Look at her! Bella is growing her first fruit(s)! ๐Ÿค— (And a new flowerbud๐ŸŒธ).

I actually have no idea how she managed to do that. I thought they had to be pollinated from another cactus of the same species.

The first fruit, that is now going ripe, I think just got pollen from Bob, which I thought wasn't really compatible as nothing have happened before when I tried (and none of Bob's flowers have turned into fruits).
The second fruit, that is just green still, has just been pollinated by itself or another flower on Bella, if anything.

My mind is blown๐Ÿคฏ
I really wished for fruit on Bob though, maybe next time๐Ÿ˜†

Looking forward to sowing new Bella-babies soon!๐Ÿ˜Š (Or maybe they can produce non-pollinated fruits without seeds?๐Ÿค” Time will tell!๐Ÿค“)

That is insanely cool! I didnโ€™t know such a small cactus could fruit! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿชด
@Elk me neither ๐Ÿ˜„ I got her last year in hopes on getting my other older cactus pollinated, but what do you know ๐Ÿ˜‚
Here is a pic of Bob, hopefully I will get him pollinated sometime too๐Ÿ˜„ He is a little over 14 years now๐Ÿ˜ฎ.
How cute. It looks like you have a flower growing too!๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒธ what a cute little fruit. Some cactus fruit are edible. Iโ€™ve had one that gave me edible fruit before and I ate it, it was kinda tart/sweet like an unripe raspberry. The cactus is also very pretty itself.
@TidyTigerpear yes she seems to really like flowering๐ŸŒธ, she had 3 sessions last year. She has several small buds in the waiting now too, so I expect some more flowers late summer๐Ÿ˜„ Don't know where she gets the energy from๐Ÿ˜‚ (I would like to borrow some of it).

Yes I have heard you might eat them๐Ÿค”, but I have also heard they don't really taste very good, so I think I will go for the seeds instead๐Ÿ˜‚
@MockingJay haha the energy part is very true. Reminds me of my Venus flytrap #GomezTheVFT he blooms atleast three times a year the past two years! I havenโ€™t put it into dormancy either so I have no idea how itโ€™s alive or is able to keep blooming. Sometimes I cut the flowers to conserve its energy sometimes I leave them just depends.
