SOS for Megatron
Sooooo my rescue plant was doing well for the most part and I was having a proud #rookieplantmom moment.
AND THEN…My husband knocked off a few leaves the other day. And Mega has been dropping leaves like crazy since. 😩
I watered him last weekend as scheduled after checking to make sure the soil was dry, and he’s been hogging all the sunlight he can. There have even been a few hints of color coming through! But now…😢😢😢.

Hi there! The one thing I know aboutt Echeverias is they’re pretty fragile. I had a beautiful pot full of them, and my hubby hit it and it was a disaster. Leaves fell off, and did so for a few days. Don’t give up! Your plant is probably stressed. Be sure to let it have as much sun as possible, and water when dry. I know they don’t like temps below 50•f…they also grow very well in terracotta pots with good drainage. I grew mine outdoors, and brought in in winter (Texas is very hot in summer but cold in winter). Not sure what to say about watering- I watered mine every 3rd day due to the heat. Your plants (2?) look very tall , and the pot kind of looks big (hard to see entire plant). Do you know if yours have long roots? Mine were very short, and I fit all of mine in 1 pot and they loved it. I hope some of this helps, I’m no expert lol…but i@love all plants
@SillyPlantGirl Thanks for the tips!
Yes…Mega is in a pretty tall pot but it does have drainage. I gave him about 1.5-2 cups of water as recommended over the weekend and the soil is dry again. I’m thinking our weather here in NC and the fact the pot is pretty tall are the main culprits now that you made me think about it.
The roots seemed average for the size but that assumption could be a rookie plant mom mistake. 😆
