Fastest Growing Plant

What is THE fastest growing houseplant? #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #fastGrowth @TwistedThreads @sarah10orio @RJG @Pegster @Gordo @Sassylimey @zay @dreamlettuce and @WickedValkyrie
Personally, Pothos, Begonias, arrowheads, any fiddle leaf or ficus, Dracaenas, Snake plants and Jades 🌿😊

I know you said “the”, but with perfect conditions and care, any plant will thrive 💚
Pilea
@kscape well luckily I have an arrowhead, Pothos, snake plant, and dracaena and @RJG a pilea
@ABCD they never stop
…computing data 👾…
@ABCD my fastest growing plants are String of Dolphins, snek plants, pothos, my Cuban Oregano and my ZZ's 😉
@ABCD I had a coleus plant that I put in a pot on my windowsill one year and within a month it had almost overtaken the entire (large) window! They're very colorful too, but it was a little much for me at the time 😅
Here are my fastest growing in no particular order:

Rhaphidophora tetrasperma (mine started from a cutting two years ago)

Philodendron Giganteum

Hoya 'Pubicalyx Splash' (started from two rooted cuttings two years ago)

Adansonii narrow form I bought a three inch pot a few years back and I've cut it and shared it several times.

Those are what I can think of off the top of my head.
@sarahsalith That Adansonii is a Monster(a)! #plantjokes haha
@sarahsalith Oh yeah speaking of adansonii do you know if mine is wide or narrow
@ABCD My fastest growing plants are a snake plant and my Lion’s Tail Agave. 🐍🪴
Here's my Monster(a)! I had to move it upstairs by itself because people kept stepping on the aerial roots. 🤪

It's hard to tell from that picture what your Adansonii is. It looks like an older narrow form but it could be a younger wide form. Let me show you the difference so you can know.

The first two are narrow. The third and fourth are wide. The narrow is smooth and smaller. The wider has lumper leaves.

The wide form is more mottled.
@sarahsalith WOW those aerial roots are huge! I definitely think mine is a young wide because I bought in a 4” pot and it looks more like the wide
Inch plant/wandering dude/aka/zebrina
For sure my pothos are my fastest growers!
@WickedValkyrie that’s what I thought you were going to say 😂🔮
@ABCD 😂😂😂 pothos all day erry day boiii!
@jcPlantProper huh my Peperomia is very slow
I’ve seen Snake plant named a few times in this post. I have never had a fast growing Snake Plant. What varieties are fast growers?
Tradescantia Zebrina 💯%!!
It was my first successful plant, and I was sorely disappointed when the others didn’t have a growth marathon immediately after potting! 🤣 #lifelessons #TradescantiaTroupe #NewPlantMom
My Pothos Dec 25th, May 6th & today, May 26th.
My tetrasperma is pretty fast growing and every leaf has fenstration even though it isn't super tall yet.
Wow @sarahsalith those are some beautiful manstera plant. Facinating how those arial roots have grown. You truly have a great green thumb.
@Stall54Jo ☺️ We get along well!
Aglaonema- pink dalmatian and the suksom variety. And pothos.
For me, I find it's the syngoniums, non variegated epipremnums, ceropegias, and goeppertias. Various types of succulents grow super fast as well like the sedum rubrotinctum when in full sun.
monstera adansonaii, chain of hearts, string of pickles, and string of bananas for me!
My string of arrows grows very fast.
My fastest is my golden Pothos, mini monstera and arrowhead. I feel like every time I check on them there’s some new growth
@sarahsalith wow those aerial roots on your monstera are huge! Also love how packed together the leaves are. Mine is so tall and leggy because our windows are higher up 😅
Bamboo is technically the fastest growing plant in the world, as are most grasses, but rarely is grass considered an indoor plant. Contrary to some answers, dracaena(especially mine) are very slow growing. My Ficus, Arrowhead, and Sweet Potato Vine are my fastest growers.
Sygonium albo… new leaf every other day 😂
My high humidity begonias. Its like new leaves every other day i have to chop often haha
My pilea peperomoides grows a new leaf a week.
Personally it’s probably my Polka Dot Plant, he is CONSTANTLY growing new leaves! And they’re absolutely stunning 🤗♥️
I find that my trailing or climbing plants grow fastest... pothos, monstera adansonii, monstera siltepecana, philodendron brasil, syngoniums .....
@ABCD Fiddle Leaf Figs, Pothos, spider plant, snake plant, dieffenbachias, peace lily, philodendron, aloe vera, jade plant, arrowhead, rubber fig, Dracaena, Aglaonema, inch plant, velvet plant.
ficus pumila for me, pilea peperomioides is a close second. if you don’t mind outdoor plants then basil
For me, any trailing/climbing plant. These two I got as clippings or small plants about two years ago and they’ve produced several other plants for family and friends. My philodendrons are fast too, but only after they take forever to get going. I literally have had clippings I thought would just die because they didn’t want to move past the two leaf point.
So Pothos and trailing plants seem to be the fastest

For me satin pothos, or scindapsus pictus has been fast grower ^^
My soh is a really fast grower, I've had it for probably a month and it's grown so much!
