Orchid losing leaf.

One of my orchids has a leaf yellowing. I had moved it to a brighter spot, could too much light have caused this? I moved it back to where it was when it was doing well. Is there anything else I should check? I bottom water it once a week.

@bluebladeliger that has happened to one of my orchids as well. I think it’s getting too much light. They like bright indirect sunlight. Other than that one yellow leaf it looks healthy.
@bluebladeliger here is what I found on Google.

Overwatering Can Lead to Yellowing Leaves
Overwatering your orchid can lead to root rot, which can, in turn, cause its leaves to turn yellow. If your orchid is suffering from root rot, repotting in fresh new potting media will set the plant on the path to recovery.
@KikisOasis Thank you so much! I’m guessing it was from too much light. I thought I had it kind of shaded by other plants, but I think it was getting direct light. I will check for root rot too!
With the type of soil you have I'd say overwatering and root rot are going to be less common for you. It is however common to lose the bottom most leaf just before a growthspurt. Usually if your orchid has between 4 and 6 leaves it is healthy. That being said they are slow growers. Usually takes them about 2 to 6 weeks to adapt to new changes in sunlight and humidity so moving it all around the house isn't going to do you much good. Stay the course until you see less that 4 leaves.
A few feet back from the west window should be good. If you have an East window, it can sit directly in it. Can you describe how you bottom water your orchids?
@bluebladeliger I have mine in a south facing window and only water every 2 weeks and it blooms twice a year for me. Literally in the window sill. Try cutting back the amount of water you are giving it. And don’t water the leaves, only around the roots to avoid stem rot.
