Foliage all turned black
I suspect the answer is over watering, but is there any other reason my coral bead plant is turning black? I really haven't watered it that much. The orange beads also shriveled a bit, but there is some new foliage coming through.

No, that's usually the sign of overwatering. If possible, you want to repot the plant entirely, disinfect the pot change, and change the soil. Usually, I would also recommend trying to cut away any damaged roots, but I'm not sure if that's possible.
