Yellow growth on soil surface

#Monstera having a little difficulty with this Thai con, and getting yellow growth (mold?) on the soil surface, large pot potentially a bit too large and within a foot of a window with a good screen to prevent leaf burn. Watered only when Greg reminds and humidity probed before to confirm dryness. Any thoughts on what the growth is? And from there best treatment and how to not get it in the future?

@FairBeakedrush youโ€™ve got FUNGUS! Most likely the yellow houseplant mushroom or the aptly and lovely named dog vomit slime mold ๐Ÿ˜† It is not harmful to your plants and can actually indicate good soil health, but it is toxic to humans and pets if eaten. Your soil might be staying a little wet too. If you let the soil dry out between waterings and increase your air flow, it should go away.
Thankyou! I figured that might be the case and having a plan in place for managing it down is great.
