What is wrong with my Snake Plant?? 😭

When I got my snake plant originally, he had this muddy brown kinda see through spot on his edge, but it was firm, so I assumed it was damage in shipping or packing. I only water him once every 2-3 weeks. All of a sudden the spot has gotten worse and looks like this. Anyone know what it could be? Over/under watering? Some kind of disease?

Looks like a disease to me. I had this happen to a snake plant. I would trim that part off.

@Bunny413 It does look like a disease, as well as cutting the diseased part off of the leaf I’d look at the soil to see if that had anything to do with it and if the roots look okay.

I had this happen to me as well. Trim that part off and also check for overwatering. And make sure it’s not in direct sunlight. Snake plants live and will still thrive in the shade
