What am I doing wrong?

I love the syngonium red arrow. When I had one before, it didn't work out. Now, this one is doing something similar. Leaves yellowing. She's under a grow light and next to a humidifier. I've checked the roots. Not sure what else to do. Any advice? Thank you! #syngonium #syngoniumsquad #plantaddict #plantsmakepeoplehappy
7ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
Have you fertilized it by chance and if so, at what strength?
@GnarlyJacaranda, I use a general fertilizer when I water. It's a 6-2-4.
Have you done it by the instructions or weakened it? Im wondering about fertilizer burn
Oh wait, it’s potted in terracotta! It could be that the water is evaporating too quickly from the porous pot so your plant is under watered because of it. Changing to a different kind of pot should help tremendously. This is a plant that likes to be in moist soil.
Wat @GnarlyJacaranda said. Syngonium dnt like to dry out. I also have alot under a grow light. Some of them like to be closer while Some want to be further away. They can be picky. I also only use rainwater. Dnt kno if u use tap, but that can affect due to chemicals in it. I noticed a significant change wen I switched.
Ditto what @GnarlyJacaranda and @gAnderson mentioned πŸ‘πŸΌ

Maybe because I'm in a more humid area, my syngoniums are ok with going to 75% dry so I thought they'd be ok in terracotta but nope. The milk confetti nearly died (also didn't have the right lighting conditions for it) but is currently recovering under a grow light. Both my syngoniums love a grow light πŸ’–

Check the quality of your local tap water - the water in my area is apparently clean enough for carnivorous plants so I'm very carefully testing this out 🀞🏽
You might need to repot her she might be root bound
If you have to use tap water, try filling a container and letting it sit for a half hour to let any chlorine evaporate before watering.
I agree with what has been said. Terracotta is just not good for these because they don’t want to dry out. They like to be moist but not soggy. I also have to use distilled water and I add WTW growth to the water. I also use a grow light and humidifier. They were struggling before I implemented all of this.
