Pruning tips for Jade (Gollum)?
Got this plant at a garden sale and I want to prune it and propagate the cuttings so itβs not as leggy (you can see it leaning over in the pics).
Looking for a tips as Iβve propagated jade, but never cut the whole plant back to repot it.
In the pic I held the sharpie around where I want to cut back the stem.
Thanks in advance! ππΏπ±

@gothgardener True! Thanks for the idea :)
@BrightOkra92 I think you are good to make cuts where you have your sharpie. The mother plant should give you new growth at the cuts. Give it time. Jade plants grow on their own schedule but are pretty hardy, so they can survive the cuts.
Once you make the cut, let the stems callous for about a week. Then you can just set the cuttings back into the soil of the original plant.
Great find!! Enjoy!
