Melted succulent
So I'm mainly curious why this happened to one plant and the other (same species, same pot) is doing great. The two baby #tigerjaws came in the same nursery pot, I transferred them to live with the #climbingaloe and Weird Hybrid and a week later found the smaller one had turned into liquid. The bigger one is happier than a pig in mud, the aloe is sending out babies like a career surrogate mother and the Hybrid is producing all kinds of new growth so I'm wondering what went so horribly wrong with the runt ๐ญ #notsohappyplants #help #succulentsquad #succulentlove

It was likely too small for that pot and rotted, even though it was the same species of plant. These plants are super susceptible to root rot, especially if the pot is too big. What happens after you water is their tiny root systems absorb what they need and are then left sitting in damp soil. They prefer to be closer together and rather snug in their pots.
