Safe Effective Gnat / Pest Control
Anyone have a suggestion for a safe and effective pest control for plants? My pothos have gnats and a few other of my indoor plants are attracting gnats, too. A pest control for multiple pests including gnats would be great! TIA! π

Hi Lauren! Oh you should absolutely try neem oil! It is cheap and very effective. Easily ordered on amazon. The bottle usually has the mixing ratios on it. Simply mix neem oil with water and some dish soap (essential to dissolve the oil in the water) and spray on plants. It can be sprayed on leaves and the base as often as you want. I do it every few days. If the infestation is bad to start with, you can drench the soil with a neem oil solution when you first start! After that, resume spraying. It may smell a bit, but that goes away. And it is completely safe for plants and humans!
Neem oil check to see if you overwatered any of your babies and you might want to repot them . Hereβs some hashtags to see what others get rid of them. #PestControl #PestsAndPlants #GregGang
@Pielewop big thank you! I have been using peppermint/neem oil, but maybe not as aggressive as I should be. Iβll mix dish soap and water this go βround, too!

@SoIcyBoogie yeah, try a soil drench whenever itβs your plants watering day next. Works well if the gnats are all up in the soil. Happy growing!
@SoIcyBoogie if you can, bottom water your plants. That will help too as they tend to gravitate towards the moisture on the top of the soil. I have had issues with fungus gnats and do this for the plants I can and use sticky traps in the soil of some of the larger plants I canβt bottom water.
@TopMonoceritos supppppppppper duper helpful!
