Got this new plant today! Anything I should know to give ...
4ft to light, indirect
4β pot with drainage
Last watered 2 weeks ago
@Idplantthat do I water it when the soil is completely dry or when itβs almost dry and how long should I leave it dry for?
@Succulent_Soul Kalanchoe can tolerate extended periods of drought because they are succulent plants with thick, fleshy leaves that store water. They easily survive dry spells and handle neglect well, though the soil must still dry out completely between waterings to prevent root damage.
@Ms.Persnickety thank you!
@Succulent_Soul looks like Monika gave you some great advice. Kalanchoes are pretty forgiving, and they can handle a little dry spell with ease. Just like Monika said, just let the soil dry out on the top, about the top two inches. If this is your first kalanchoe, just know they are rapid-growing and repopulate quickly, and if their little flyaway seeds make it into another pot, theyβll try and take over, so just kind of be aware of that part, something I didnβt know and ended up with them in everything π€£π€£
