My dracaena looks like it is dying, this is the second st...

not sure if pot is too small for it too
Hi Alexis! Is the part that’s yellowing/browning at the bottom part of the plant? I know it’s normal for the bottom to die so that new growth comes in at the top, but I can’t tell what part of your plant it is. They do like humidity so you can mist the leaves or use a humidifier or pebble tray- it would certainly help. The pot should be around 2 inches larger than the size of the root mass, and I know they like a snug fit but not root bound. If it has been a year since the last time it was repotted, than I would repot. Only go up 2 inches in size of the pot it is in. I hope this helps 😊 it is a beautiful tree!! Welcome to Greg!
Are you using tap water? Since you say the roots are fine, if so they are very sensitive to tap water. You must use distilled or filtered water οΏΌ
It is a popular houseplant that is known for its air-purifying properties. Dracaenas are relatively low-maintenance plants, but they can be susceptible to a few common problems, such as root rot.
Root rot is a fungal disease that can cause the roots of a plant to rot. It is often caused by overwatering. If you think your Dracaena has root rot, you can try repotting it in fresh, well-draining soil. You should also remove any rotted roots.
Here are some tips for preventing root rot:
* Water your Dracaena only when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch.
* Use a well-draining potting mix.
* Avoid overwatering your plant.
* Make sure your pot has drainage holes.
If you have already repotted your Dracaena and the plant is still not doing well, you may need to cut off the affected parts of the plant. You can then try to root the healthy parts of the plant in water or soil.
Here are some tips for rooting a Dracaena cutting:
* Use clean water to root the cutting.
* Change the water every few days to prevent the growth of bacteria.
* Keep the cutting in a warm, bright location.
* Once the cutting is planted in soil, water it regularly and keep the soil moist.
With proper care, your Dracaena cutting should root and grow into a healthy plant.
