Help with #PitcherPlant

Question

Hi guys! I love my #CarnivorousPlants and want to do a better setup for my #PitcherPlants - right now they’re in sphagnum moss and distilled water under a grow light. But I think I want to repot them so they’re hanging… but they’re still tiny! Can you show me your setup and pots/media? I want to find tiny slotted hanging baskets but so far, no luck for anyone this small. Thanks! 🌱☀️❤️🌈

Lol im not sure im a guru! More like noob! I only have like 9 -10 months under my belt 😂. But here is my only one that hangs. Its not now but normally is.

Thats huge so its setup is weird tbh. Plus its outside in summer so i wanted it to have alot of media

Definately. You could just use the wire hangers and net pots

Once they get bigger i think its best to switcg to spagh coco or orchid bark mix. But alm my others are still just in straight spagh.

That big ones prob 50/50 spagh coco chunks and sone charcoal

And perlite i guess but not much perlite or charcoal. Really i think anything to chunk it works fine. Even phal mix with lava rock charcoal and bark

But the wire ones would work fine to. But i find the chain easier to get level pots and looks better

Ive also gotta assume self watering pots are excellent for nepenthes. I just put my new seedlings in sekfwatering so ill find out soon

Ive been finding that alot more things work in self wateting than use to. Its the chunky mixes. That being said i dont think they need to dry out in a selfwatering situation. I can keep hoya in selfwatering pots in chunky mix just by letting the resevoir dry out a coupke days before i refill. And you dont ever want to overjead water in them. Then alm the sudden the mix is soggy instead of damp.

Its s learning curve but im starting to love self watering for lits of things. I just had this convo with @merranda kind of about my heliamophora in sekfwatering.  They look pretty good to me in it 🤷‍♂️
