Mold can pop up for a bunch of reasons. Luckily, it won’t hurt your plant. It usually happens when there isn’t enough air circulation (like crowded pots or poor drainage, but you mentioned that’s likely not the cause) so its likely that the soil quality is not chunky enough and stays damp too long. A simple fix is to gently scrape the mold off with a spoon, then sprinkle a little ground cinnamon on the surface, it’s a natural fungicide and helps keep it from coming back. Easy and safe!
@GrownAglaonema Hi McKayla! That white stuff can also be salts that have gathered at the top from fertilizer. You can flush it really good by watering it A LOT and letting water run through the soil u nail it rinses the salt out by flushing it with lots of water.
