Yellowing of Cacao plant
Does anyone know why my #Cacaoplant keeps yellowing? I think it could be the sun, but itβs hot directly hitting it. I leave it in my balcony, not so close to where the sun hitsβ¦ can these be grown indoors?
I have also noticed that although the leaves are turning yellow and drying, I am having some flowering on the sides and new growth on top. #CacaoTree

Potassium deficiency. Itβs a key nutrient for the plant foliage. Your soil may be exhausted if it and it should be replenished after six months when left outdoors. Change the soil with rich soil that retains a bit more water. Cacao is a tropical that needs moisture and humidity. You may have the humidity but the moisture isnβt there. The heat also bakes your soil if itβs fast draining or in a plastic pot. Be careful with long you let it go without water. The hotter it is, you may want to give it sips a bit more frequently.
The circular brown spots, outlined with yellow is usually a sign of a bacteria or fungus disease. This disease is like a common cold, but if you ignore it, it can develop into something more serious and life threatening, like pneumonia π. I love chocolate.
