Self watering pots for hydrangea?

Girlfrond was getting pretty droopy quite frequently, and when I took her out of the pot I received her in, she seemed to be root bound. I moved her to a larger pot with some good, rich soil, and watered thoroughly on top of filling the reservoir for the self watering pot. But as it's my first time repotting something, how long will it take for her to recover from the stress? I broke up the roots as best I could without really getting in there because I dont want her to die. #FrenchHydrangea #firstrepot #help #plantsmakepeoplehappy

It will probably take a couple weeks to readjust
@omnomnom thank you for the reassurance! I guess I'm just paranoid because I've killed everything in the past and now I'm invested, and learning that my plants have personalities and preferences
They will live forever in the yard. Half sun, shade is its favorite! I planted mine 12 years ago and I now have huge bushes!!
@SupremePecan I planted 3 hydrangeas outside when I first bought my house in exactly the conditions you said! Unfortunately they died for some reason... we're thinking of moving in the next year or so, so I'm hoping I can keep my monster alive in a pot so I have her to plant if/when that happens
I’ll take a picture to show you tomorrow. I started another plant last year. Haven’t watered it for at least 8 months ago. Still alive. It is a weird plant! But beautiful.
