Hello there. You have Variegated Shield aralia,Β or Fabian aralia plant.
The rule of thumb is to stay away from any metal pots: water is polar by nature, and you don't need to play with it - the plant will try to survive as long as it can but it will lead eventually to its demise.

Answering in order you posted your questions:
1) it can reach various heights depending on its growing conditions, butΒ as a houseplant, can grow up to 4-8 feet (1.2-2.4 meters) tall, while in its natural habitat it can grow much taller, up to 6 meters (20 feet) - Google answered

2) if you worry about the weight of the plant and moving back and forth do not use terracotta pots, but look for lightweight with a good bottom from tipping over. I'd advise also to look for the pot that has multiple drainage holes, rather than the one that are molded with the saucer and have a single hole for aeration and excess of water as it often times gets clogged pretty quick.

This wasn't a question, more for your awareness: the aralia plant requiresΒ a well-draining potting mix that includes organic components and is enhanced with a permeable material like perlite or sand to prevent waterlogged roots.

And, please, please reconsider the metal pot idea!

Even if you see a plant in a metal pot in the store, it's never potted in the container itself but used for deco' looks only.
